chenel king was born and raised in Walnut, CA. She comes from a long line of storytellers and is obsessed with asking: why? Seeking to embody various different voices throughout time, history and space gives this writer the opportunity to provide prospective and bend and break held knowledge. Constantly intrigued and mystified by the obscurities this world, without pause, has to offer, one can’t help but to write.

king has a B.A. in English, Creative Writing from San Francisco State University (2011) and an M.F.A. in Writing from Otis College of Art and Design (2018).
